Halloween Freebie

To start off the October spirit we have a great Halloween freebie up.

I will be doing a post with a link to all our Halloween items just finalising a few of them. We have a great activity pack, a few clip art sets, some writing prompts and some awesome 2D and 3D decorations. I am excited just talking about it.

You can download it from google docs by clicking image below or from our freebie page.

Meanwhile I will go back to cutting and colouring our decorations to check they all work. Oh the hard life of colouring in.

Custom Work - Iroquois Clip Art

Phew, it takes me an extra 20 seconds to type Iroquois and then another 20 seconds to check that I have types it correctly. Stacy is always telling me that I am the slowest typer in the world, well that word itself takes my average typing speed to very slow.

But I did enjoy doing the clip art, I had to do a lot of research because it was a very specific set of Iroquois - Eastern Woodland Native Americans of New York State that were wanted and I had no idea there were differences. Yes shock horror, gasp at me some more but I am from Australia here our Indigenous people are called that Indigenous or Aboriginal.

I like making my clip art as realistic as possible while still keeping that graphic feel. I do quite a bit of research to make sure they are accurate to real life which in this case took some time to distinguish between different Iroquois people.

Jennifer from Elementary School Garden was very impressed with the work, her feedback was great to hear as all you sellers and creative people know

Thank you so much! These graphics are exactly what I've been looking for. It is hard to find clipart that is historically relevant. I have been working hard on an Iroquois unit for my 4th graders and this will work perfectly to illustrate the pages. The clipart is cute, yet mature, the perfect mix for 4th graders. The colors are bright and fun. The images are crisp and clean. Thank you again!

She used the clip art to create this unit.

New Name - New Blog

Phew, it is finally done.

A couple of months back we decided to rebrand ourselves from Teachers Toolbox to Creative Critters. Absolutely loving the new name and the new logo. Still updating everything which I think will remain a work in progress.

With this new branding I really wanted to get into blogging again. So I wiped the slate clean and started with a new look.

After 3 days of solid work, I finally feel like this site represents us and I am really happy with it.

Will try and post up some info about the steps taken if anyone is interested as hopefully I can make it a little easier for all of you teacher bloggers out there.

So without further ado, I declare this blog open .... now where is that champagne ....
